project 3, piece 2
This piece is inspired by idioms talking about salt (salt of the sea, below the salt, worth your salt) and the biblical context behind some of those idioms. I am beginning with addressing the background and negative space first, rather than starting with figures.
I was also inspired by looking out at my neighborhood pool and painting from it.
So far I am intrigued just by the background. It looks pretty abstract and a bit minimalist, which is something that always draw me in personally. I am wondering what you will add in the foreground, but I like the concept of salt and water it is something you can look at and meditate to for a while.
